“WELL BEGUN IS HALF DONE” is true in the case of Desheeya Vidy Shala the institution started by seen nationalist young freedom fighters, Influenced by the Gandhian principles, the freedom fighters, the founders cum honorary teachers, members of the first EC, dreamt of the institution to provide a spring board for the students of Malnad region to achieve academic excellence. Desheeya Vidya Shala in the first year in 1943, with only a primary school, with a student strength of only 7 has grown enormously and has a student strength of more than 6000 today. As on date, Desheeya Vidyashala has a higher primary school, 2 High Schools, 4 PU Colleges, 2 First Grade Colleges, a polytechnic college, a centre of IGNOU, centre KSOU and Special Training Institute to its Constellation. “ಪಂಡಿತಾ: ಸಮದರ್ಶಿನ:” is an appropriate mission statement and emphasizes that Desheeya Vidya Shala is above caste, colour or creed. it is a matter of pride to mention that the alumni of DVS have been spreading the fragrance of excellence, by holding key position in both government and private organizations throughout the country and beyond.
Course Fee:
Among the institutions under DVS Management, some receive aid from the government and some are unaided. The Management has to absorb the burden of meeting the expenses like salary, employer’s share PF/ESI in addition to the recurrent in maintenance expenses of unaided units. Therefore is an appeal to the parents to bear with the marginal increase in the free collected by both aided and unaided units.In view of this. The management makes a humble request to the public, parents, alumni, benevolent donors and the entire well wishers to stand by DVS institutions to support thecause of education.
