The sports department of Our College has left an indelible mark in the competitive sports circle. The college team has been participating in inter collegiate tournaments at the college level university level and have tasted remarkable success.
The college has great performers in the field of athletics, badminton, cricket, table tennis, and volleyballl. The college has play ground of its own for all the sports activities. Rigorous practices are conducted under the guidance of respective coaches. The college has provided the students a state – of – the – art gymnasium equipped with the latest exercise machines. A separate infrastructure has been created in the basement and the auditorium for indoor sports like carrom, chess, badminton, and table tennis .
The college has produced many sportsmen and women of National and International repute. The college recognizes the achievement of these students by awarding incentives in the form of scholarship or cash awards. Some of the sports persons are given waiver of tuition fees appreciating their outstanding contribution.
Some students have been sponsored to various National events. This acts as a motivation and encouragement. The sports department also conducts Annual Sports Meet for the students annually.
As the college is situated in the heart of the City the stadium of the City is very close to the college. The District stadium is fully furnished with all paraphernalia of sports. Our College is too equipped with all the sports materials. We never lag behind in encouraging sports activities.
Mr H. G. Harish, made an outstanding achievement and created history in our college by becoming all India Champion in Athletic meet.
Ms R. Shilpa and Ms S. Shilpa took part in National level Kho-Kho meet and got third place.
